Scoffed & Quaffed – Fancy French, Friday 17th May 6.00pm – 10.00pm

French cuisine is the basis to most modern western cooking and a classic favourite.
There will be a bit of demonstration by the chef too, so you can relax and watch whist they do some of the hard work.
On arrival you will be treated to a French charcuterie plate with a glass of  bubbles before heading into the kitchen to make your first course.
All wines will be French varietals like sauvignon blanc, merlot, pinot noir and of course chardonnay whilst you sit and eat your deliciously cooked dinner with fellow Francophiles.

Seared scallop w/ cauli puree and apple salad

Creamy salmon vol au vents w/ micro herbs

Duck breast, pomegranate glaze, carrots deux fois, haricots verts a l’aile

White chocolate creme brûlée

 

All guests will prepare and eat each dish from this fabulous menu, under the guidance of our professional chef.

Age suitability: 18 and over.

French cooking in the Scoffed & Quaffed Program
We all know that wine and food go really well together, so we have teamed up with local boutique wineries to bring a bit of colour to our range of fine dining style cooking courses in Adelaide. As well as creating restaurant style dishes, scoffing some amazing food and learning from professional chefs how to cook it, you’ll also taste some delicious local wines that compliment perfectly. Our charismatic and knowledgeable chefs will take you through each of the 5 dishes step by step, teaching you about the ingredients and techniques as well as brushing up your knife skills!

About Scoffed
Scoffed school of food and fun is located at 441 Magill Rd, St Morris, 5068 in a purpose built kitchen designed to provide a relaxed and sociable, learning experience.
We have 6 Ariston 4 burner stove tops, 5 ovens and 2 microwave grills that allow us to provide a hands on experience for each of our guests.
Whilst we are not a registered training destination we pride ourselves on our professionalism, warmth, spirit of fun and love of cooking, especially the eating of delicious food with friends old and new after each class.
Every guest in our kitchen receives a warm welcome, their own apron (and hat if required) to wear for the duration of the class, a work station, equipment, and ingredients to create the dishes learnt in class.

Scoffed and COVID-19

Due to COVID-19, classes have to operate slightly differently from before. Please bear with us whilst we manage our operations as well as we can in these difficult times. 

Anyone exhibiting flu like symptoms is requested to stay home and will not be permitted to enter the Scoffed kitchen.

All guests must wear closed toe shoes and have long hair tied up.
When booking a class with Scoffed you give us permission to use photos for promotional purposes.

Bookings may be transferred up to 7 days prior, but will incur a $10 admin fee. Bookings cancelled later than this are not refundable or transferable.
Minimum numbers are required to run classes. If these minimums are not achieved then the class will be postponed until the minimums are met.
