Introduction to Smoking BBQ Guru, Saturday 27th August 6:00pm - 9.30pm

Come and learn all there is to know about smoking on your BBQ. Led by our BBQ competition team pit master you will learn techniques on how to smoke delicate meats like fish and duck that don’t need to cook for very long, as well as smoking low n slow cuts. We will use charcoal BBQs, a Weber Smokey Mountain and also gas BBQs (Weber Qs), so you will learn how to smoke on different equipment.
Some of the meats will need to be precooked by us due to the length of time it takes, but you will get to see most cooks start off and all of them finish.
The menu you create will be:
Hot Smoked salmon Nicoise
Tea smoked duck with pancakes
Sticky pulled beef , pork or lamb sliders
Baby back ribs w/ Mexican corn

Inclusions:  5 course menu as above including a light smoked dessert, Weber smoking notes and recipes emailed after class, welcome drink on arrival.
Class Running Time; Approx 4-5 hours
Suitable for age 18+

Cancelation policy: Class may be postponed up to 48 hours prior if required numbers not achieved.
Please let us know of any specific dietary requirements at checkout.

BBQ is an outdoor activity so please dress appropriately.

Scoffed and COVID-19

Now that borders are open it is even more important we stay vigilant to the COVID virus.

As we are a small business, any close contact with someone who has COVID will have a huge impact on us and result in potential cancelation of classes if our staff have to self isolate.

Anyone exhibiting flu like symptoms is requested to stay home and will not be permitted to enter the Scoffed kitchen.

Here are some things to reassure you about how we do business to keep everyone safe:

  • All our staff are fully vaccinated
  • Cleaning procedures are rigorous
  • Masks are still mandatory, so please make sure you respect others and remember to wear yours as required by the government – no mask, no entry.

Unfortunately bookings are not refundable or transferable unless we have to cancel the event/class.
In this case vouchers or a refund will be provided.
