Food Chiefs Enrtreé Classes are for kids age 5+.
As it’s the last class of term, it’s a chance for the kids to have even more fun in the kitchen as they make a surprise dish under the guidance of our chef.
In the Final end of term class the kids will be making Bangers and Mash with Flapjacks (but that’s just between us!)
Cancelation policy: class may be cancelled with 48 hours notice if sufficient numbers not achieved.
Dress code: Long hair tied up and runners on feet please.

Children’s Cooking Classes at Scoffed
Our Food Chiefs kids cooking program is designed in such a way that kids can come to every class or pick and choose which ones to attend. Whether they have cooked before or not at all, the classes will build up skill levels by teaching everything from basic knife skills and how to chop onions to frying, baking, boiling and making sauces. Kids work around a stove top with up to 3 other students depending on the size of the class and each group creates their own dish. One week it is savoury, one week it is sweet, as we make our way around the world experimenting with new foods and flavours as well as learning techniques and building skills. At the end of term Chow Wow they get to make their favourite dish independently for mum and dad!
Each time they come they get a Food Chiefs stamp on their card, which they then redeem for their very own coloured wooden spoon. Once they have collected all their wooden spoons they get a personalised Food Chiefs’ Hat and Apron. Obviously the more they come to, the more they will learn and the quicker they’ll get their Food Chiefs Apron and Hat.
Scoffed school of food and fun is located at 441 Magill Rd, St Morris, 5068 in a purpose built kitchen designed to provide a relaxed and sociable, learning experience.
We have 6 Ariston 4 burner stove tops, 5 ovens and 2 microwave grills that allow us to provide a hands on experience for each of our guests.
Whilst we are not a registered training destination we pride ourselves on our professionalism, warmth, spirit of fun and love of cooking, especially the eating of delicious food with friends old and new after each class.
Every guest in our kitchen receives a warm welcome, their own apron (and hat if required) to wear for the duration of the class, a work station, equipment, and ingredients to create the dishes learnt in class. We try to pair up children based on ability or age to ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone.

All guests must wear closed toe shoes and have long hair tied up.
When booking a class with Scoffed you give us permission to use photos for promotional purposes.
Bookings may be transferred up to 48 hours prior, but will incur a $10 admin fee. Bookings cancelled later than this are not refundable or transferable.
Minimum numbers are required to run classes. If these minimums are not achieved then the class will be postponed until the minimums are met.
Scoffed and COVID-19
Due to COVID-19, classes have to operate slightly differently from before. Please bear with us whilst we manage our operations as well as we can in these difficult times.
Parents who wish to stay on site in the cafe to watch will also need to book a table so that we can safely manage numbers. Please call or message us to let us know.
Dishes made by children in the class will be put into take away containers to take home rather than eaten on site because of social distancing requirements.
Anyone exhibiting flu like symptoms is requested to stay home and will not be permitted to enter the Scoffed kitchen.
Unfortunately bookings are not refundable or transferable unless we have to cancel a class. In this case vouchers will be issued in lieu of a refund.
