In conjunction with “Red Centre Enterprises”, Scoffed has created a cooking class using native Australian ingredients. Here are just a few of their amazing native products: Kangaroo, Buffalo, Rannoch Quail, Crocodile and Wild Boar and native ingredients like Pepperberry, Wattleseed, Bush Tomato, Saltbush Flakes. At our class – ‘Scoff Something Native’ you will hear how ingredients are harvested and the traditional uses for many of them. After hearing about the provenance of the ingredients, you will embark on a wonderful, hands on, journey of discovery, creating beautiful food from our recipes, tasting unique indigenous ingredients that are sometimes hard to source and sampling some wonderful local complimentary boutique wines. Scoffed school of food and fun is located at 441 Magill Rd, St Morris, 5068 in a purpose built kitchen designed to provide a relaxed and sociable, learning experience.
We have 6 Ariston 4 burner stove tops, 5 ovens and 2 microwave grills that allow us to provide a hands on experience for each of our guests.
Whilst we are not a registered training destination we pride ourselves on our professionalism, warmth, spirit of fun and love of cooking, especially the eating of delicious food with friends old and new after each class. Every guest in our kitchen receives a warm welcome, their own apron (and hat if required) to wear for the duration of the class, a work station, equipment, and ingredients to create the dishes learnt in class. You will work around a stove top with up to 4 other guests depending on the size of the class and each group will make every dish on the menu. You can be as hands on or hands off as you like as you work through the challenges set by our qualified chefs. All guests must wear closed toe shoes and have long hair tied up. When booking a class with Scoffed you give us permission to use photos for promotional purposes.
Carers are welcome to assist students but will need to pay 50% of the ticket cost
