This BBQ guru class provides you with knowledge about all aspects of low n slow smoking from how to set up your BBQ properly (whether you have a smoker or not) to choosing the right cuts of meat and knowing when to take them off.
All our BBQ classes are run by BBQ competition pit masters who share stories from the competition circuit as well as their incredible knowledge and passion for everything BBQ!
Scoffed and COVID-19
Due to COVID-19, classes have to operate slightly differently from before. Please bear with us whilst we manage our operations as well as we can in these difficult times.
Class sizes are now reduced and there is a maximum of 4 per booking and 16 in a class.
Our COVID safe plan allows us to have 30 inside our cooking school, 25 in our cafe and 40 outside. However, due to social distancing we are limiting numbers in our classes to ensure the safety of all our guests and staff.
Each booking will work on their own BBQ and will be socially distanced from other bookings.
Each group will have their own dedicated cafe table for enjoying the fruits of their class.
Anyone exhibiting flu like symptoms is requested to stay home and will not be permitted to enter the Scoffed kitchen.
Unfortunately bookings are not refundable or transferable unless we have to cancel a class. In this case vouchers will be issued in lieu of a refund.
Scoffed school of food and fun is located at 441 Magill Rd, St Morris, 5068 in a purpose built kitchen designed to provide a relaxed and sociable, learning experience.
We have 6 Ariston 4 burner stove tops, 5 ovens and 2 microwave grills that allow us to provide a hands on experience for each of our guests inside and 4 Weber Kettles and Family Qs and a Smokey Mountain outside!
Whilst we are not a registered training destination we pride ourselves on our professionalism, warmth, spirit of fun and love of cooking, especially the eating of delicious food with friends old and new after each class.
Every guest in our kitchen receives a warm welcome, their own apron (and hat if required) to wear for the duration of the class, a work station, equipment, and ingredients to create the dishes learnt in class.
- All ingredients and equipment
- Full or tasting size serve of all the dishes you create (depending on how many dishes, but you will not go home hungry!)
- Aprons to wear
- Lots of hands on fun!
- Expert tuition from our BBQ pit masters
- Recipes to recreate at home
The formal bit!
Please also see above for new COVID-19 terms and conditions.
All guests must wear closed toe shoes and have long hair tied up.
When booking a class with Scoffed you give us permission to use photos for promotional purposes.
Bookings may be transferred up to 48 hours prior, but will incur a $10 admin fee. Bookings cancelled later than this are not refundable or transferable.
Minimum numbers are required to run classes. If these minimums are not achieved then the class will be postponed until the minimums are met.
