  • In our master class today, the Food Chiefs will create Mexican sopes from scratch. A family favourite, they start by making a dough for their tortillas, and then the minced beef filling complete with Mexican spices, as well as accompaniments like salsa and guacamole. Each student will make a full sized individual portion.

    Class time: About 2 hours depending on size of class
    Age suitability: 8+
    Dress code: Long hair tied up and runners on feet.

  • In our pastry master class today, the Food Chiefs will create an apple and pear tarte tatin. A French classic, they start by making a rough puff pastry which is then used for their tart base. Caramelising their fruit filling is the next task before completing their tart and baking it in the oven. Simply delicious!

  • In this dough master class, the Food Chiefs will create their very own Asian dumplings from scratch. Making the dough, cutting it out, creating the filling of their choice using authentic flavours (vegetarian or meat) and then learning how to from the actual dumplings is their challenge today!
    Each student will make at least 6 dumplings and a dipping sauce.

  • In this pasta master class, the Food Chiefs will create their very own spinach and ricotta ravioli. Learning how to make fresh pasta, followed by a spinach and ricotta filling, and also a tomato sauce to finish it all off, parents will be drooling when they come to collect their budding chefs!

  • In this pastry master class, the Food Chiefs will create their very own chicken and leek pie. Learning how to make shortcrust pastry, followed by a chicken and leek pie filling, they will be ready to make dinner any night of the week. Each student will make their own  individual pie.

  • In this bread master class, the Food Chiefs will create their very own Focaccia which they will then use to make a Philly steak sandwich . Learning about yeast and dough, rising and then how to cook the perfect steak are the skills they will come away form this class with. Each student will make their own steak sandwich.
